Former NYPD Sergeant Sally Spinosa has apparently lied about her recovery work in an effort to defraud the September 11th Victim Compensation Fund.
Sponosa filed an application stating that she worked at Staten Island’s Fresh Kills Landfill debris sorting area for 62 days straight at a time when she was known to be on parental leave or light duty due to pregnancy. She has been charged with submitting false claims, aggravated identity theft, and wire fraud, reports Rebecca Rosenberg NY Post.
Spinosa left the NYPD in 2019.
