The National Law Enforcement and Firefighters’ Children’s Foundation will host its 17th annual Thanksgiving breakfast for children of firefighters, EMS workers and cops who die in the line of duty this week.
The group, which began after the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, and which focussed on NYC, will rename itself The First Responders Children’s Foundation and extend its work to include firefighters, EMS personnel and law enforcement officers nationwide, reports Larry McShane for the New York Daily News.
The Uniformed Firefighters Association held its annual celebration at the Fire Museum for children of fallen firefighters.
