On Saturday, September 8, 2018, at 11:00am, a new 9/11 memorial will be dedicated to honor the Babylon residents killed in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.
The memorial stands at the entrance of the sports field of West Babylon High School opposite the administrative parking lot. It contains an artifact from the World Trade Center and a seedling from the Survivor Tree, a callery pear tree that survived the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, reports theĀ Babylon Beacon.
The memorial is the Eagle Scout project of Liam Reff.
