A temporary exhibit entitled Through their Eyes will be shown at the Flight 93 National Memorial’s newly opened Learning Center in March 2016. The exhibit will feature toys and drawings left at the crash site by children after the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks reports Mary Pickels in the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review.
“This is close to my heart, as a mother and a grandmother, and having taken care of these items for so long,” said Barbara Black, the site’s chief of cultural resources.“Children are very honest. … They don’t have to be politically correct. They really say what’s on their minds. Some of their messages reveal that.”
Through their Eyes can be seen on Saturdays and Sundays from 11:00am to 3:00pm through March.
