John G. Chipura Blood Drive to honor a life of continuous service

Saturday’s John G. Chipura Blood Drive will honor a man who was an NYPD officer, a United States Marine, a terrorism survivor, and an FDNY firefighter who responded to the terrorist attack on the World Trade Center, where he was killed at the age of 39.

Students win Tyler Ugolyn Award

During this year’s Tyler Ugolyn Memorial Basketball Tournament, which concluded over the weekend, two Our Lady of Fatima Academy students – Lauren Davis and Connor Bowron — were given the Tyler Ugolyn Award. These awards are earned annually by one female and one male basketball player who show character, teamwork, and sportsmanship on court and off.

Friends of St. Bernard graduate James Greenleaf, Jr., who died on 9/11, maintain memorial fund

James Greenleaf, Jr. continues to help people years after his death in the World Trade Center during the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 through the James A. Greenleaf Jr. Memorial Scholarship Fund, set up by his family and friends.
