9/11 Fund Donates to Police Union in Memory of Ramsey Victim

Nassima Wachtler, whose son Gregory was killed in the 9/11 terrorist attack, has arranged for theĀ Fred Alger Management Charity Fund to donate $4,500 to the Ramsey PBA Local 155 Gregory’s honor, and in honor of Paul Wachtler, Gregory’s father, who died recently.

When grief rewrites your address book: How a Boston tradition got started

Meaghan Coombs, who lost her father, Jeff Coombs, aboard American Airlines Flight 11, was dreading September 11, 2008, her first anniversary of the attacks at Roger Williams University. A flag display comforted her. Her story inspired the annual Memorial Day flag display on Boston Common of 37,000 flags honoring those killed in the line of duty from the Revolutionary War to this day.

Not forgotten: Norwin HS to honor graduates Brian Dale and David Kovalcin, killed on 9/11

David Kovalcin and Brian P. Dale went to the same high school, one year apart. Years later, both men boarded American Flight 11 on September 11, 2001. Now a plaque honoring them will be dedicated at their Pennsylvania high school.
