9/11 hero, UR judo champion Jeremy Glick enters Rochester Jewish Sports Hall of Fame

Jeremy Glick, one of the brave passengers of United Flight 93 who fought back against the hijackers during the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, has been inducted into the Rochester Jewish Sports Hall of Fame.

Scott Dixon’s car to carry tribute to race fan Timothy Maude, killed in 9/11 attack on Pentagon

The name of Lieutenant General Timothy Maude will be written on the front wing end plate of the car driven by Scott Dixon in this year’s Indianapolis 500. General Maude was working at the Pentagon on September 11, 2001, and became the highest-ranking member of the military killed in the terrorist attacks that day.

Local animal shelter to honor Rosa Maria Chapa, killed during 9/11 attacks

The Homward Bound animal shelter in Blackwood, NJ has named their feline room the Rosemary Chapa Memorial Room in honor of Rosa Maria “Rosemary” Chapa, who was killed in the September 11, 2001 terrorist attack on the Pentagon.
