9/11 family member Carmen Cecilio Hernández honored for office cleaning work after brother’s 9/11 death

Carmen Cecilio Hernández lost her brother in the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks. After the attacks, she cleaned offices all around Lower Manhattan. Now she has been named Downtown Manhattan’s top office cleaner at the 32BJ SEIU annual service worker awards.

Plaque dedicated to Johanna Sigmund in Chestnut Hill, PA

The Chestnut Hill Peace Park was dedicated this week in Philadelphia. One of its main features is a plaque in memory of Johanna Sigmund, who was murdered in the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001.
