Sacred Heart University settles lawsuit with family after student died during pancake-eating contest

Sacred Heart University has agreed to a settlement to the family of Caitlin Nelson, 20, who died after choking during in a 2017 charity pancake-eating contest at the school. The Nelsons are a September 11th family – Caitlin’s father, PAPD Officer James A. Nelson, was killed in the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center.
