Jahar, a twelve-minute film about the classmates of Boston Marathon bomber and the effects of the attack on them will premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival, writes Benjamin Lee in the Guardian.
Filmakers Henry Hayes and Zolan Kanno-Youngs say the film is about the effect that the bombing had on those who knew — or thought they knew — Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, who was a student at t the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth, at the time of the bombing..
“Kanno-Youngs said, “This is somebody we once called ‘friend’. That being said, when someone does something like that, that person you knew is gone.””
