In honor of the 17th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, a number of U.S. communities are holding a silent tribute to law enforcement, fire, and emergency medical personnel by replacing a lightbulb in a front window or on a front porch with a blue lightbulb and illuminating the blue lights each evening from September 8, 2018 until September 12, 2018.
In some communities, blue lightbulbs are available at local churches.
