A Maryland representative introduced a new bill this week titled, “Education – Commemoration – Terrorist Attacks of September 11, 2001,” reports Brandon Bossert of WMDT TV. The bill would require Maryland public schools to recognize the anniversary of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.
Johnny Mautz, representative for District 37B, introduced the bill after discussing the attacks with his young children.
The bill will be read across the desk on January 22, and will probably be referred to the Ways and Means Committee.
