French state TV has decided not to broadcast Ce soir-là (That Night) a fictional love story set in midst of the 2015 Bataclan terrorist attacks, writes Ilana Kaplan for the Independent. Television officials made the decision after Claire Peltier, who was widowed in the attack, started a petition describing the film as “hurtful”, garnering 38,000 signatures.
Producers are now discussing the film and its future with survivors’ groups.
