J. Seward Johnson Jr.,who sculpted the beloved statue “Double Check” that survived the 9/11 terrorist attack, has died at 89, reports Neil Genzlinger in the New York Times. “Double Check” depicts a seated man checking a briefcase filled with 1970s-era office supplies.
