Queens park renamed for FDNY Firefighter Michael Davidson killed on set of ‘Motherless Brooklyn’

Phipps Playground in Queens has been renamed for FDNY Firefighter Michael Davidson, 37, who was killed in the line of duty in March 2018 fighting a fire in a Harlem basement that was serving as a set of the movie Motherless Brooklyn.

Davidson, who had been with E-69/L-28 for his entire 15-year FDNY career, was posthumously promoted to Lieutenant. He left a wife and four small children, reports CBSN New York.
