The Caitlin Nelson Park will open on May 11, 2019 to honor Caitlin, who died suddenly at the age of 20 in 2017, and her father, PAPD Officer James A. Nelson, who was killed in the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center.

Caitlin’s park will open on the site of the former Funtime Junction Park in Clark, NJ. The original playground there was dismantled, refurbished and donated to a Puerto Rican park damaged by Hurricane Maria.
