Monoliths honoring people with 9/11-related illnesses placed at WTC

Six huge granite sculptures have been installed on what will become the Memorial Glade, meant to honor those World Trade Center rescue and recovery workers who have died from site-related illnesses, reports the Associated Press. Steel from the World Trade Center have been incorporated into the pieces.

Future visitors to the site will be able to walk a path around the sculptures, which are meant to symbolize strength and resilience.
