New commander takes helm aboard USS Arlington

In a change-of-command ceremony on February 14, 2019, U.S. Navy Captain Paul Lanzilotta became the new commander of the USS Arlington,  succeeding Captain Todd Marzano, reports InsideNova.

USS Arlington is an amphibious landing dock that transports U.S. Marines to dangerous places around the globe. It is named to honor the 184 people killed at the Pentagon and aboard Flight 77 during the terrorist attacks of 9/11.

Currently the ship is at sea and is scheduled to return to its home port of Norfolk, Virginia in July, 2019.
