The Duchess of York Sarah Ferguson was en route to her Chances for Children office on the 101st floor of the North Tower of the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. Traffic prevented her from reaching the tower before American Airlines Flight 11 was flown into it by terrorists.
Chances for Children, a charity she is affiliated with, operated out of the tower.
