“Utøya: July 22” – Is it right to make movies out of real-life acts of terrorism?

Two films, Utøya: July 22 and July 22, are soon to be released about the 2011 Norwegian shootings in which 77 teenagers were murdered, and many more injured.

In the wake of films about the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, the Boston Marathon bombing, and the 1819 Peterloo massacre, Steve Rose of the Guardian wonders whether such films honor the victims or not.
