FDNY EMT Vivian Lomacang and her partner James Coyle saved Devin Jamison and her 1 pound, 6 ounce baby daughter, Amari, in 1998. Lomacang is still friends with the mother and daughter and they discussed their friendship with Molly Crane-Newman for the New York Daily News.
The terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 killed James Coyle, 26, who had become an FDNY firefighter, and gave EMT Lomacang a number of illnesses. She is due to retire in two months.
