Among the 81 new police recruits at the Suffolk County Police Academy is Taylor Pfeifer, whose father was FF Ray Pfeifer. Ray Pfeifer was an FDNY legend who made many trips to Washington DC while battling stage 4 cancer to beg politicians to renew the Zadroga Act, the healthcare bill for those police officers, EMS workers, firefighters and other recovery workers who have been sickened by their work at the World Trade Center after the terrorist attacks of 9/11, reports Cecilia Dowd of FIOS 1.
Pfeifer died earlier this year.
