Ten MTA transit workers received medals commissioned by Transport Workers Union Local 100 for their work in the aftermath of the terrorist attacks, reports Dan Rivoli in the New York Daily News. Several of the workers receiving medals are now ill from their work.
The custom-made medals read Supra Vocatum Pietasque, or Above the Call of Duty.
