The National Park Service restored a private, nineteenth-century cemetery that lies within the boundaries of the Flight 93 National Memorial, straightening headstones, landscaping and installing fencing. The cemetery was that of the Sorber family, and was used by them from 1856 until 1892, reports the Associated Press.
The Flight 93 National Memorial honors the 40 crew members and passengers killed on the fourth plane hijacked in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. The Memorial comprises 2,200 acres.
