New York and federal authorities are suing RD Legal Funding and its founder Roni Dersovitz, accusing them of scamming World Trade Center rescue and recovery workers and injured NFL players out of settlement money due to them, reports CBS News.
According to the lawsuit, the company charged as much as 250% interest rates and fees on advances for settlements, in violation of numerous laws.
