More than 500 NYPD officers laid Deputy Chief James Molloy, 55, to rest on February 3, 2017. Molloy died after a long battle with World Trade Center-related brain cancer, reported Anthony Izaguirrerich Schapiro in the New York Daily News.
One of Chief Molloy’s assignments at the site of the terrorist attacks was to identify NYPD officers killed in the attacks.
Molloy’s NYPD career was distinguished and he served for 35 years.
