10 FDNY EMS workers, 3 NYPD traffic agents surrender in health insurance scam

Ten active and retired EMS workers and three NYPD traffic enforcement agents surrendered to the police this week, on charges of insurance fraud reported Anthony Izaguirre and Ginger Adams Otis of the New York Daily News. More arrests are expected. Many of the accused claimed that the 2001 World Trade Center terror attacks caused their fake illnesses, stealing from those actually sick from their work at the site.
