The private nonprofit foundation that controls the 9/11 Memorial and Museum has filed 2015 tax records showing $108 million of expenses and income of $87.3 million, a deficit of $25.2 million, reports Susan Edelman in the New York Post.
The drop is mostly from the spending of government grants used to construct the museum.
Spokesman Michael Frazier was quoted as saying, “We are not operating at a deficit.”
