Relatives of those killed by terrorists at the World Trade Center have bonded over a bus ride. Where to Turn, a Staten Island-based not-for-profit, buses 9/11 families to the anniversary name-reading ceremony every year.
Rick Rojas of the New York Times talks to some of those family members on the bus this year.
“In the beginning, I never would have made it without everyone. I feel they’re my family, too,” said Michele Pizzo, who lost her husband, Jason DeFazio, a bond broker for Cantor Fitzgerald, in the attacks.
