USS Kearsarge Amphibious Ready Group replaced in Middle East

The Virginia-based Kearsarge Amphibious Ready Group, which includes the USS Arlington, has been replaced in the Middle East by another Naval group as part of their planned deployment. They are now back in the Mediterranean Sea, writes Brock Vergakis in The Virginian-Pilot.

The Kearsarge Amphibious Ready Group left Norfolk, Virginia in October.

The USS Arlington honors the 185 people killed at the Pentagon and aboard Flight 77 during the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.
