STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Where to Turn — in partnership with the Secret Sandy Claus Project — plans to distribute 15,000 toys during the upcoming holiday season.

The initiative, reaching from New Jersey to Long Island, includes 13 locations on Staten Island where donors wishing to spread holiday cheer are invited to drop off new, unwrapped toys for kids still reeling from Hurricane Sandy’s aftermath.

Sandy survivors, with FEMA assistance numbers and proper identification, are invited to shop for free at Where to Turn’s Sandy Holiday Toy Store, in donated space at 1547 Arthur Kill Rd. in New Springville.

The store will be open daily from Dec. 7 to Dec. 24, from noon to 7 p.m. There is a limit of two toys per child, and a maximum of six toys per family.

The primary drop-off location on Staten Island is at Where to Turn, at 150-L Greaves Lane in Great Kills (phone: 718-966-6531).

Here are the other locations accepting toys; please call to confirm hours
