The Brazilian artist Eduardo Kobra is painting (with the permission of the building’s owner) two large murals at 780 Third Avenue in honor of the 17th anniversary of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.
One is based on the well-known photo of a grieving FDNY firefighter that appeared after the attacks.
The other mural will be a surprise.
Look for both as the anniversary approaches.
