Firefighters climb WTC stairs in full gear to honor 9/11 fallen

CBS New York reported on the Firefighter Stair Climb in 4 World Trade Center on March 13, 2016. Three hundred and forty-three firefighters from around the country, one for each FDNY firefighter murdered in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001, ran up 72 flights of stairs to honor them.

The event was started by FDNY firefighters Chris Barber and John Mills. Mills’ father, Charles Mills, was killed in the South Tower on 9/11.
