A shot at peace of mind

“Be careful. Bad things happen when I’m around,” says Kevin Connolly, standing at the Staten Island Postcards Memorial, where many of the 275 faces were his friends, including the silhouette of his big brother John “Jack” Connolly, who was killed at Euro Brokers on 9/11.

Kevin Connolly, an FDNY firefighter, has lost friends during and after the attacks and is sick with several World Trade Center-related illnesses. He told Justin Verrier of ESPN about how his love of basketball helps him cope.
