Law firm with 9/11 history dumps golfer after move to Saudi tour

The law firm of Cozen O’Connor and golfer Jason Kokrak have parted ways due to Kokrak’s joining the Saudi-backed LIV golf tournament reports Brian Baxter of Bloomberg Law staff.

“In light of Mr. Kokrak’s affiliation with the new LIV Tour, we have mutually agreed he will no longer be an ambassador for Cozen O’Connor,” read a statement from Cozen O’Connor.

The new LIV golf league appears to be a PR attempt at “sportswashing” from Saudi Arabia. The group 9/11 Justice, consisting of 9/11 family members and survivors, has been very vocal in denouncing the league and those who took money from the league.

Cozen O’Connor has been active in the families’ 2003 lawsuit against Saudi Arabia alleging that the Saudi  government assisted the 9/11 hijackers specifically and  al Qaeda in general.

NYC commits to daily maintenance, long-term improvements at 9/11 Postcards Memorial

Staten Island’s beautiful Postcard Memorial honoring the Staten Island residents killed in the 9/11 terrorist attacks, has grown shabby and cracked due to its waterfront location and other factors, but the city has committed to maintenance and repairs, reports Kristin F. Dalton for the Staten Island Advance.

The New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC) controls the memorial.

A cleaning crew will maintain the Postcards 9/11 Memorial and the nearby small park daily Monday through Friday from May until October, emptying trash bins and maintaining the plants. During the weekends, the site will be looked after less often. Monthly pressure washes will also be instigated.

Special care will be taken of the memorial as the anniversary of the attacks approaches.

Daughter of firefighter who died on 9/11 tears into Trump for ‘taking blood money’ by hosting the Saudi-backed LIV tournament ‘in the backyard of Ground Zero’ at his Bedminster golf course

Juliette Scauso, daughter of an FDNY firefighter killed in the 9/11 terrorist attacks, says that Saudi-backed LIV golf money is “blood money” and is shocked that Donald Trump is hosting a LIV tournament  at his NJ golf club.

She is a member of 9/11 Justice, a group of 9/11 survivors and family members who are fighting for justice against the Saudis, report Katelyn Caralle and Morgan Phillips of the Daily Mail.  The group is seeking a meeting with Trump to dissuade him from hosting the NJ tournament and another upcoming tournament in Florida.

The government of Saudi Arabia has long denied any involvement in the 9/11 terrorist attacks, despite incriminating documents unearthed by the FBI.  Fifteen of the 19 9/11 hijackers were from Saudi Arabia.
