9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Retired FDNY Firefighter Vic Accurso, Sr., 72, died on January 31, 2017 from 9/11-related cancer.
A member of the FDNY in the 1960s, Victor Accurso, Sr. was retired and living in the South, when he spent two months at the site of the World Trade Center after the terrorist attacks of 2001.
The family will receive friends from 1:00pm to 3:00pm on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at Sale Creek Fire Headquarters in Sale Creek, TN. The service will be held there at 3:30pm.
