9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Wake for Stephen Violetta, DSNY

Stephen Violetta, a 33-year veteran of the NYC Department of Sanitation (DSNY), died on December 2, 2018 at the age of 70. He served as Supervisor of Operations at the Staten Island Landfill after the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.
He was also a Vietnam veteran.
His wake will be held on Thursday, December 6, 2018 from 2:00pm until 4:00pm and from 7:00pm until 9:00pm at the Colonial Funeral Home on Staten Island.
His funeral will take place at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church at 9:30am on Friday, December 7, 2018.
Cremation will be private.
