Health, Healing and Hope around the Holidays – a program for cancer patients & caregivers – Mountainside, NJ

December 6, 2018 @ 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm

The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society will host a free program entitled Health, Healing and Hope around the Holidays on Thursday, December 6, 2018 from 6:00pm to 8:30pm in Mountainside, NJ. The program is for cancer patients, caregivers and family members.

Participants will learn ways to maintain a healthy lifestyle during holiday celebrations, tips for coping with loss (of a loved one or traditions) during the holiday season, and methods to cope with anxiety and sometimes unrealistic expectations that patients and caregivers experience this time of year.

Please note that this program is open to patients with all types of cancer (not just blood cancers) and does not solely focus on those who have experienced an actual loss. It includes the loss of traditions or expectations of what the holidays will look like as well as valuable nutrition information for all patients and caregivers, regardless of where they are in their treatment journey.

A complimentary dinner will be served at the event.

The program is free, but pre-registration is required. To register, please click here or here; call Stacy Kreizman at 908-956-6608 or email her at stacy.kreizman@lls.org.
