9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Street renaming in honor of retired FDNY Captain John Vigiano

On Saturday, May 11, 2019 at 11:00am the town of Babylon will rename Long Island Avenue “Captain John Vigiano Memorial Way” in honor of retired FDNY Captain John Vigiano, an FDNY legend who died last year.
Both of John’s children FF John Vigiano, Jr. and NYPD Detective Joseph Vigiano, were killed in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.
John devoted his post-September 11th life to good causes, especially to those involving wounded veterans.
The ceremony will be held at the Town of Babylon Municipal Parking at Deer Park Avenue (Route 231) and Long Island Avenue in Deer Park, NY.
Light refreshments will follow the ceremony at the Deer Park Firehouse.
