Press conference to unveil the “Never Forget the Heroes: Permanent Authorization of the September 11th Victim Compensation Fund Act” – Washington, DC
February 25, 2019 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm
There will be a press conference in Washington, DC to unveil the bipartisan Never Forget the Heroes: Permanent Authorization of the September 11th Victim Compensation Fund Act on Monday, February 25, 2019 at 3:00pm.
September 11th rescue and recovery workers, survivors of the attacks, representatives of unions affected by the attacks, politicians, advocates, and interested celebrities will appear.
The Never Forget the Heroes: Permanent Authorization of the September 11th Victim Compensation Fund Act would ensure that all 9/11 rescue and recovery workers and survivors of the attacks who have certified 9/11 illnesses would receive their full compensation through the September 11th Victim Compensation Fund (VCF) now and into the future as more become ill with 9/11 cancers. The bill would also close the funding gap recently announced by the VCF Special Master.
If you plan to attend, please email both Jennifer Bell at jenn.bell@mail.house.gov and Whitney Brennan at Whitney_Brennan@gillibrand.senate.gov.
