9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Funeral for NYPD Sergeant Scott C. Johnston

NYPD Sergeant Scott C. Johnston died of World Trade Center-related melanoma on Thursday, December 19, 2019 at the age of 50. He worked most recently with the SRG Unit and responded to the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. He was also a volunteer with the Levittown Fire Department in his hometown.
His funeral Mass will take place at 1:00pm on Monday, December 23, 2019 at St. James’s Church in Seaford, NY. His cremation will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Scott’s memory to the Ray Pfeifer Foundation or to the FealGood Foundation.
