9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Wake for retired FDNY Fire Marshal Alan Cataneo

Retired FDNY Fire Marshal Alan Cataneo died of World Trade Center-related illness on Saturday, July 21, 2018. Alan spent some of his career at Engine Company 18 in Greenwich Village.
He was a US Navy veteran who earned medals in Vietnam.
His wake will be held on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and from 7:00pm until 9:00pm at the John Vincent Scalia Home for Funerals on Staten Island.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11:00am on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at the Church of the Holy Child, also on Staten Island.
Committal services will be private.
Contributions in Alan’s memory can be made to either the FDNY Burn Center or to the Wounded Warrior Project.
