9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. First Responders Memorial dedication – Staten Island

Staten Island’s First Responders Memorial will be dedicated at 2:00pm on Sunday, October 1, 2017.
All Staten Islanders are invited to attend the dedication which will be held at the new Memorial, located near the Postcards Memorial on the St. George Esplanade. An RSVP is requested to 718-816-2246.
The memorial is a marble plaque on the railing, engraved with the words, “Dedicated to those First Responders who lost their lives as a result of their service in the rescue and recovery efforts at the World Trade Center in the days and months following September 11, 2001” and bearing the names of those law enforcement officers, EMS personnel and firefighters from Staten Island who have died of illnesses related to their work at the World Trade Center recovery in the aftermath of the terrorist attacks of 9/11.
Free parking will be available in the New York Wheel Parking Garage, next to the ballpark.
