9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Lt. John Martinson Memorial Picnic

The annual Lt. John Martinson Memorial Picnic will be held on Saturday, September 16, 2017 from 12:00 noon until 6:00pm rain or shine at Staten Island’s Hillside Swim Club.
Included in the day’s events will be a barbeque, beer, wine and soda and live music. There will also be a Chinese auction and a 50/50 with rides and attractions for children.
The price per adult to attend the picnic is $50.00. Children aged 13-20 pay $20.00 to attend. Children aged 12 and under are admitted free. Funds raised will benefit the Lt. John Martinson Memorial Foundation.
After a long career in both the NYPD and the FDNY, Lt. John Martinson, “Johnny Nice Guy” was killed in the line of duty while fighting a high-rise apartment fire on January 3, 2008. He left his beloved wife and two small children.
