9/11 Responders Remembered Memorial Reading/Adding of the Names

September 16, 2017 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am

On Saturday, September 16, 2017 at 10:00am, the names of more than 140 law enforcement officers, firefighters, emergency medical personnel and World Trade Center recovery workers who have died from their work at the site after the terrorist attacks will be added to the 9/11 Responders Remembered Memorial in Nesconset, NY.

Names will be read, followed by the ringing of the bell. This year, the bell will be retired after the reading of FF Ray Pfeifer’s name in recognition of all he did, while very ill, to ensure the repassage of the Zadroga Act to benefit all the sick recovery workers. The bell will be presented to Ray’s widow at the event.
