9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Witness to History panel discussion — Boston Marathon Bombing

The National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund will host a panel discussion about the April 15, 2013 terrorist attack at the Boston Marathon finish line that murdered three people and maimed and injured hundreds on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at the Burke Theatre at the U.S. Navy Memorial. A reception of light hors d’ oeuvres, beer, and wine will begin the evening at 6:00pm, with the program following from 7:00pm to 8:30pm.

The panelists will include Richard DesLauriers, Special Agent in charge of Boston FBI Office at the time of the bombing and leader of the FBI’s Boston Joint Terrorism Task Force, which led the bombing investigation; Sergeant John MacLellan of the Watertown Police Department, who confronted the bombers days after the attack; and Carmen M. Ortiz, US Attorney, District of Massachusetts and lead prosecutor of the Boston Marathon bomber, who was convicted on April 8, 2015. The moderator will be Frank Bond of the Newseum.
