Walk with Joe – Manalapan, NJ
September 9, 2017 @ 8:30 am - 11:30 am
The annual Walk with Joe will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2017, at 10:00am in Monmouth Battlefield State Park in Manalapan, NJ. Registration and shirt pick-up will begin at 8:30am. The ceremony will start at 10:00am.
Patrick “Joe” Driscoll, 70, was aboard Flight 93 on September 11, 2001. Together with his fellow passengers and crew, Joe fought back against the terrorists and prevented Flight 93 from hitting its target in Washington, D.C. or from hurting anyone on the ground.
The walk also honors Christopher S. Gray, of Cantor Fitzgerald and FF Thomas J. McCann, who were killed in the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center.
Walk with Joe supports many worthy causes, including the Samaritan Center in Manalapan, NJ; the Flight 93 National Memorial in Shanksville, PA; the Christopher Gray Memorial Scholarship Fund at the University of West Virginia; the Child Advocacy Center in Freehold, NJ; the American Recreational Military Services (ARMS). More than $175,000.00 has been donated to these and other beneficiaries since the first Walk with Joe in 2002.
Please visit the website to register online. The fee for adults and children over 7 to walk is $20.00. Children under 7 walk free. Every adult who registers by August 26, 2017 will receive a t-shirt. Shirts for those who register later will be available as long as supplies last. There are no children’s shirts.
