9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Shawn Nassaney Memorial Race/Walk – Smithfield, RI

The 17th annual Shawn Nassaney Memorial Race/Walk will be held on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at Bryant University in Smithfield, Rhode Island.
This year’s race will start at 9:00am with a children’s run (1 loop) following the adult run. After the race, a breakfast of eggs, toast, sausage, bacon, coffee and juice will be provided.

Shawn Nassaney and his girlfriend, Lynn Goodchild, were heading for a Hawaiian vacation on September 11, 2001 aboard United Airlines Flight 175. Shawn was advancing in his career and very happy with Lynn. He was 25.
