9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Wake & Funeral for retired PO Edward “Smitty” Smith, NYPD – York, PA

Retired NYPD Officer Edward “Smitty” Smith died on January 20, 2018, at the age of 72.
After retiring from the NYPD, PO Smith returned to duty to assist during the recovery efforts at the site of the former World Trade Center in the aftermath of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. He had been on the job for more than 20 years.
His funeral will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 3:00pm at Faith United Church of Christ in York, Pennsylvania. A viewing will be held before the funeral from 1:00pm-3:00pm at the church.
