9/11 Tribute Center programs are offered throughout the year. Lectures, educational workshops and support programs are available to unite family members who lost loved ones, survivors, Lower Manhattan residents, rescue and recovery workers and volunteers who assisted in the aftermath of 9/11. Wake & Funeral for retired NYPD Police Officer Lawrence J. Prehn

Lawrence J. Prehn, 55, died on November 10, 2021.
Officer Prehn served the NYPD for 25 years and responded to the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. He retired from the NYPD in 2017. He was also a veteran of the United States Navy.
His wake will be held at the Matthew Funeral Home in Staten Island from 4:00pm until 8:00pm on Wednesday, November 17, 2021.
Officer Prehn’s funeral service will be held at 6:45pm on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at the Matthew Funeral Home. A private cremation will follow the funeral.
